Sara was born and raised in N’Swakamok (Sudbury, ON), on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nation in Robinson-Huron Treaty territory, and is of mixed Polish, Ukrainian, Irish, and French settler ancestry. She is particularly interested in community-led approaches to art and culture that reflect on the complexities of place, bringing her academic training and background in art history, design, public art commissioning, and community engagement to her work at CEDaR. In her role as CEDaR Coordinator & Project Manager, Sara manages the ongoing development of CEDaR’s physical and digital infrastructure, oversees operational processes, supports research projects and knowledge exchange initiatives, and helps facilitate collaboration.
